(Please post on Craig's list looking for old doghouses. If you can't find one, come anyway...we can chain up together.)
As you may or may not know, Tamira Thayne spent 52 days (54 in total with other activists' help) chained in front of the PA State Capitol seeking to have a law passed for chained dogs. The effort was not successful, but now there are already bills in both the house and senate this session (please ask your reps and senators to suport), and we want to have MORE people bringing doghouses to the Capitol steps this year to let them know not only are the dogs tired of suffering, the children tired of being attacked by poorly socialized dogs, but we as citizens are tired of watching the dogs suffer and feeling powerless to do anything about it. Please empower yourself and join us with your doghouse and chain Monday, June 20th. It's worth taking a day off work, we promise you. Even if we are not successful, the strength you will gain from standing in front of the Capitol building is immeasurable. We are planning for June 20, 2011, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. on the back side of the Capitol (the opposite side from where Thayne was chained.)
