CHAINED
DOG
Master, Master, hear what they say,
Those who pass here everday.
They
said they'd take me if they could,
And give me love like a "caregiver" should.
They
told me they'll watch and never quit trying,
But about my care, you just keep lying.
Can
I tell you what one person said?
"They said it would be easier to see me dead"
I know they were angry and seemed very mad
But truly I think they were just very sad.
I
really don't know why I live on a chain,
Out in the sun, snow, and the rain.
But don't you worry, I'll be your friend
And stay in this prison until the very end.
It's
all clear to me now, and I can see
You are afraid to set me free.
I guess at one time you needed a buddy
But now you don't want me all wet and muddy.
I'm
beginning to believe what they said to be true,
That control must be the real issue with you.
You don't want their help, or anything given,
You think it's just fine the way that I'm "liven."
So
please bend a little and be a little less strong,
What you are doing is definitely wrong.
Say what you want and give the excuse,
But take it from me this is abuse.
