Holiday Dogs 2012

Dogs Deserve Better
Sponsor US for Your Holiday Gifts!

Do you want your holiday gift giving to be about something more important this year? Sponsor a formerly Chained Dog or Penned Dog, and we will send you or your loved one a personalized gift letter ($15 donations and above) with a picture of your sponsored foster dog and his/her story.

HolidayDogs2010

See last year's fosters with their gifts, so touching!

Give a formerly chained or penned foster dog a taste of first-ever Holiday Cheer! As one of Dogs Deserve Better's most beloved campaigns, the annual Sponsor a Fostered Dog program has reached out and touched many a Holiday heart and home.

Santa Paws Does it AGAIN!
For the Fourth Year, our Santa Paws is offering a match for all Sponsors of $50 or more, up to a total of $5000! This means a gift card for up to 100 dogs in the DDB foster program if we get 100 $50-dollar matches for our dogs!

Just by choosing one of our special boys or girls and with your donation or gift box sent directly to them, you can ensure that one life is now not only safe from harm, but happy, beloved, and spoiled (as they deserve to be!) Our goal this year is to provide each dog in our program with a $100 gift card, in addition to any extra support needed and your packages. Your sponsor gift may also provide food, housing and veterinary care for Dogs Deserve Better foster dogs throughout the U.S. in the upcoming year, and educate others about the plight of the chained dogs who are left to languish in the back yard.

Any sponsor donations over $25 will get a FREE 2013 Dogs Deserve Better Calendar, while quantities last. These calendars are gorgeous, and make a great addition to your home or office. (a $12.97 value)

IMPORTANT, PLEASE NOTE:**If your gift donation is meant for someone other than you, please provide the information (name and address of recipient and name and address of sender) by clicking on "Name and Address of Recipient." (This should be right below your name and address.) We will then mail out a special gift letter to the address you provide featuring your chosen sponsored dog. If you'd like to mail packages directly to foster parents of a certain dog, please contact dogs@dogsdeservebetter.org for the foster parent's address. If mailing packages, you may want to check with us first to make sure your dog isn't receiving more packages than others, so that all dogs receive packages in the mail.**

Any sponsor donations over $25 will get a FREE 2013 Dogs Deserve Better Calendar, while quantities last. These calendars
are VERY well-loved, make a great addition to your home or office. (a $12.97 value)

"I just LOVE the Christmas program. You would be nuts not to participate! It's so much fun to see the dogs open their presents and make claim to their new toys and beds. And the shopping trip to buy them the necessities was just fabulous. I am so thankful every year that we have this wonderful opportunity. Thanks for making this available to us."Gayla Hausman, Former Dogs Deserve Better Rep

BellaBella - This 12 year old girl was chained and penned since she was 4 months old and is now 12 years old! This sweet girl was referred to as "puppy". Her owners died and the children called AC to come and "pick her up" She was in horrific condition and DDB was contacted by a local shelter and asked, should we just give her a burger and send her over the bridge? Dogs Deserve Better replied "we will take her". 3 months later this beautiful, spirited girl named Bella (beautiful in Italian) is happy, energetic, playful and loving. She is slow on her feet but loves to play with toys, chew on Nylabones, bullie sticks and bright bites and curl up on a soft dog bed. She has a wonderful appetite and loves treats! Bella gets bathed weekly as she has bad skin due to lack of care and a poor diet so she would love some soothing shampoo to make her skin feel good.

BUDDY, MI

BuddyBuddy is a sweet Spaniel mix that was rescued from his chain in Michigan after his owner moved away and left him with no provisions. At the time of his rescue, Buddy had a severe ear infection and a severe skin condition caused by fleas. Buddy is the most laid back dog anyone could ask for. He'll let you know when he needs to go outside to do his business but then he's right back inside for another nap. He gets along well with children and other dogs but spends most of his time at his master's side. Buddy loves meal time, a good belly scratching and when people are around. While he might have slight hearing loss, he still barks and will protect HIS house. He has such a warm, loving personality that it's hard not to love him! Buddy could use his own dog bed because he will sometimes hog the bed of Harley, the dog he lives with. Buddy could use a few low calorie dog treats, he is on the plump side due to him being lazy and not wanting to exercise.

If you'd like to adopt Buddy e-mail Patricia at nochains@iserv.net. To mail a package, e-mail dogs@dogsdeservebetter.org to inquire as to a mailing address.

TAZ, TN, KY

TazTaz is an 11 month old shep mix male who lived in a pen with his mother and father chained right in front of him in Nashville TN and one other dog with them chained also. When our Nashville representative offered the couple a fence to free up all 4 dogs, the father of Taz attacked Taz since both males were not neutered. One of the volunteers putting up the fencing grabbed Taz to break up the fight and threw him in her car and decided to foster him and take him with her to KY. He is living with 4 other dogs. Taz had no socialization with humans while living penned for his entire 11 months of life. He is so smart and loving that we feel he is highly adoptable. He just got neutered and will be put up for adoption soon. Please consider sponsoring Taz.

If you'd like to adopt Taz e-mail Robin at robin@robinbudin.com. To mail a package, e-mail dogs@dogsdeservebetter.org to inquire as to a mailing address.
