From Peggy Rydberg, Georgia: "I am a figure skating coach in Atlanta, Georgia and invited my skaters to my house for a Valentine party and to make cards for your wonderful cause. We had kids here from 4 years to 13 years old. This is my 4th year having my students over to make cards!"

From Alyssa Key, Pennsylvania: "On behalf of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Blair County we would like you to accept these Doggie Valentines made by our students. We hope that these cards will help the caretakers of chained dogs to fully understand what they are doing to their loving friends. These cards truly came from the children's hearts and we hope that you enjoy them as much as they did making them."

We would like to donate these Valentines in hope to save a dog's life. We made Valentines for you last year, and are very excited to support you again this year."

From Erika Talerico, New Jersey: "Thank you for giving my first grade students at the Martha B. Day School the opportunity to make Valentines for the abused dogs. The students learned about how to take care of a dog the proper way and what some people actually do to their pets. It was a wonderful learning experience for the students and they enjoyed creating the Valentine's Day cards for a super cause."

They had read the book Shiloh and we discussed the issue of animal cruelty and chained dogs. Enclosed are the Valentines they made a few days later, after having the opportunity to come up with their own sayings. Each student truly got into the spirit of the project, and they were more than willing to create Valentines in the hope of freeing those dogs who continue to live chained."
