Look Out Your Window
Look out your window. Do you see me? I’m here in this pen where I spend all my days and nights.
When you bought me from the breeder, I thought you were giving me a home, but all I got was a pen.
Look out your window. Do you see the children playing? I do, and I would love to be playing with them.
You give me food and water, and I appreciate that. But I need more. I need humans to touch me. I need training so I know how to behave. I need someone to play with me and walk me everyday.
Look out your window. I am looking in and I see you. I want to be a part of your family. I only live what I know. If I jump on you when you let me out, it’s because I’m so excited to be with you. But I’ll never be calm and manageable if you put me right back in.
If you don’t have the time for me, I understand. But could you please have it in your heart to give me to a family that does.
Look out your window. I am so sad.
